Title Registration
Below is a list of things you will need to have when applying for your title. You can however still start the application process even if you don’t have all the requirements. To start the process you will need the tax number for the property and a valid ID.
Requirements For Title Application
- Proof of Ownership. E.g. Certificate of Compliance, common law title, Indenture, Deed of Gift, Conveyance, purchase receipt, Will or any other document that proves ownership.
- Any Property Tax/Land Valuation documents for the land.
- Two Declarants. This is a person who knows the history of your property for at least 30 years and will sign a Declaration to that effect. The declarant cannot be a relative and must be over 50 years old. You will need to provide Geoland with the name, age, address and occupation of two declarants.
- History of the land. You must be able to explain about the history the land for the last 7- 40 years
- One valid photo identification (Passport/National ID/Driver’s Licence)
- The name, age, address, occupation and Tax Registration Number (TRN) of the person(s) whose name(s) are to be placed on the title.
- Your Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN)
